Q&A with Caroline

Important question that everyone will want to know the answer to - if you’re going for dinner/breakfast/coffee somewhere in the Fleurieu, where are you going?

In Christies Beach, I have plenty of favourites at the moment including Flava, District B 5165 & Half Baked Co.

Have you always lived in South Australia?

I am originally from the UK and came to Australia via NZ where I lived for 10 years. I spent 2 years in Gundagai before moving to the Riverland where I spent 13 years. From there, I then moved to Christies Beach 6 years ago and absolutely love it. I have the best of both worlds by traveling up to the Riverland on a regular basis.

What’s your favourite thing about living in the Fleurieu?

Though I love the laid back lifestyle of the Riverland, I absolutely love living by the sea and being able to walk on the beach. 

If someone was to visit the Fleurieu, what are the top 3 things you recommend they do?

• A visit to The Cube at Mclaren Vale, even if you don’t drink wine. It is a unique experience.

• Spend some time at one of the fabulous beaches, there are too many to choose a favourite.

• Take a Big Duck tour and see the amazing wildlife from a boat at one of the locations in the Fleurieu.

When you’re not working where will people find you?

I love to travel and explore new locations. I am a bit of a foodie so when I am not cooking, I am trying out one of the many great places to eat in Adelaide and surrounds.
